Select your libation of choice, whether it be wine on a Wednesday or a pot of tea on a Tuesday, something to sip on in the tub is always a good idea. It is also important to have a cold glass of water while in the tub to stay hydrated since your internal body temperature is on the rise. Oh, and when we say wine on Wednesday, we mean any day. Any time.
Set the mood for your tub. Think of it as a date with yourself. Setting candles in the bathroom- around the tub, against the mirror and on the floor, will flicker light throughout the room. Bring a music player to play your favourite bath songs (see our Bath Playlist must have blog post for inspiration) but keep the volume on real low so that it is just barely noticeable- it will become louder as your mind calms down and eyes shut. If the date is going well so far- get naked, and you're on the next step.
Select your weapon. That's right, choose your bath bomb to use. Are you drifting off in a warm bakery of La Vanille bliss? Maybe taking a trip down CocoCreamer lane? Or did you need the powerful Aussie Bomb to melt those muscles into puddy? Whichever one you select, choose it wisely. Begin filling the tub with water, it is important to keep the water in the BBOWTZ (bath bomb optimal water temperature zone) which is 38-41 degrees Celsius.Too hot and the water can actually burn the outer layer of skin. Okay we made that last acronym up, but we like it and it's our blog.
Pull the trigger on your bath bomb (the tag that comes out of the package) and drop into tub when water is about half full and still running. This will activate the foamers in the bath bomb. Depending on how bubbly you want your bath, swish the bomb throughout the water and hold under the running water. Oh, you can get in now too- you've waited long enough.
Close your eyes. Turn mind to 'mute', stop worrying about this whole 'life' thing everyone is caught up about. You are in your zen zone, just you and your beautiful self. Enjoy Avid Bathers, you've earned this moment.
Repeat as often as needed.
